ERYX delivers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 3 to 12 — an inquiry-led curriculum built around real questions, hands-on investigation, and the confidence to think for themselves.
Six units of inquiry, every year
Every ERYX class moves through the same six transdisciplinary themes that structure the IB PYP worldwide.
Each theme becomes a unit of inquiry — a shared question the whole class investigates through every subject at once.

What gets taught, subject by subject
Subjects aren’t taught in isolation — each unit of inquiry pulls them together — but every child at ERYX builds strong foundations across these core areas.
Language
Reading, writing, and speaking skills built together, with vocabulary tied to each unit of inquiry.
Phonics & early literacy —
Letter-sound correspondence, blending, segmenting, and sight words for younger learners.
Reading —
Guided reading groups, independent reading, and strategies for predicting, inferring, and summarizing.
Writing —
The full process from planning and drafting to editing and publishing, across narrative, informational, persuasive, and poetry forms.
Speaking & listening —
Show-and-tell, class discussions, oral presentations, and debate.
Grammar & vocabulary —
Sentence structure, punctuation, and word study connected to unit themes.
Handwriting —
Letter formation and fluency for early-years students.
Mathematics
Number sense and problem-solving built through manipulatives, games, and real-world investigation.
Number —
Counting, place value, the four operations, fractions, and decimals.
Pattern & function —
Sequences, number patterns, and early algebraic thinking.
Shape & space —
2D and 3D shapes, symmetry, position, and transformation.
Measurement —
Length, mass, capacity, time, and money.
Data handling —
Collecting, organizing, and interpreting graphs, plus early
Problem-solving —
Applying number and reasoning skills to open, real-world questions from each unit of inquiry.

Living things, materials, forces, and Earth and space, learned through hands-on experiments and field observation.
